Latest phones or the old ones when it comes to entertainment (especially music) it's really hard to beat Sony Ericsson. The Zylo is one of the
latest phones from the company and just by looking at some of the images; it looks stunning. Let's see the standard hardware features.
With the battery included the weight is around 115 grams.Screen resolution is set at 240x320 (display is powered by QVGA-technology) and also 16M colors with a TFT screen. There are three color choices available with it (Black, Silver and Swing Pink). The size reads as follows 103 mm (L), 52 mm (W) and 16 mm in depth.
It comes with a 260Megabytes of memory and can upgraded to 16 Gigabytes in the future.I must say something about the design though, I looks really "sexy" after considering few other latest phones in this category. And I prefer the black version.
The talk time of the battery is close to 4 hours and the stand-by time is 339 Hours. The major network functions such as GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS and HSPA are available in the phone. The camera is a 3.2 Mega-pixels devices which supports up to 2x of digital zoom. Other features include Geo tagging (with GPS), web upload support and picture customization utility (brightness, resolution etc). But the lack of LED light support is a major weakness and big dissatisfaction.
The Bluetooth 2.0 (high speed version) is also included with USB jack for PC to phone sync support. The ability to use it as a USB memory stick is also included. This is a slider version so to open the keyboard the user has to slide it. It feels like the slide-type devices are getting little by little out of the latest phones market.
The e-mail client comp-ability, the Google Maps, PC to Modem feature, Audio recorder, MMS and IM are just few of the included software. It also has the major social web-services comp-ability too. These days if the manufactures forget to add the Twitter and Facebook features to their phones they're most likely to be rejected by the fans.
The audio and music functions include Walkman-player, auto-playlist creation, Tagging, Bluetooth Headphone, album arts etc. The player also built in with rich codecs playback abilities too. There is a FM radio and You-Tube (with browser) services. Net front is the web-browser that comes with the phone.
All in all the phone looks really great but the sound-codecs (MP3, WMA and FLAC only) are the only ones that can be played. No OGG or any other file types are there. The 3G and HSDPA should be more than enough for a great internet experience and the cost is reasonably low but the choice is always depends on the end user. So if you're okay with "little" file-type playback then this is not a bad choice considering the other latest phones.
